KEMER: Kemer is a small town 45 km west of Antalya. You get to Kemer by a paved highway following the footthils of Taurus Mountains on the right and the gorgeous coastline and beautiful intels  on the left. The road travels through orange orchards and tunnels and those guied beaches with foaming waves invites you to take a swim. PHASELIS: Travelling 15 km. west of Kemer. It was known to be a very important port, because  of its exceptional situation on the Egyptian, Syrian and Greak see routes. After conquering Phaselis, like the rest of Lycia in 334 B.C. Alexander the Great remained there for some time; in fact is known to have wintered there. An account of the time he spent there is as follows: The city is of stunning beauty, with three harbours, straight thoroughfares, squares and a theatre. The first place Alexander visited was the Temple of Athena, where Achilles spear was preserved, and touched the weapon with excitemenent. Phaselis is favourite spot for swimming picnicking because of its clean beaches and crystal clear sea.
